I’ve owned two in prior years - a MkIII much like this 1993 edition shown here and a MkII. Not that the MkII was a bad gun in any respect, but I’d been missing a matte-finished MkIII like this for some time.

Thrilled to have this one thanks to our Classifieds section! I’ve put some Hogue G10 grip panels on as shown but will leave it otherwise as-is until it’s been to the range a time or three. Mags and some carry gear for this one slated to arrive soon!

    P-35 was my first handgun/passion.
A classic and still a viable SD gun (I have several).

If you haven't seen yet, Safariland just came out with an ALS holster for the Hi Power! Imagine that, the year Browning discontinues new manufacture of the Hi Power, Safariland FINALLY makes an ALS holster specifically for the HP..

    https://holsterops.com/products/saf...ew-browning-hi-power-7371-7376-7377-7378-7379

I ordered one from holsterops and it works great. For a hard use range holster with retention, the ALS is hard to beat IMO.

Yeah that's a good score. I still have mine and I really wish I had bought more before the prices started to jump.

This one is currently at Mr Ted Yosts shop awaiting customization. It will be a signature grade I minus the beavertail.

Love, love, LOVE the BHP. (and liked every post in the thread so far).
I have two and agree with gaijin; still as effective today as when it was “state of the art”.

The BHP is still an effective handgun. I have worked with a few of the best BHP smiths in the world IMHO. Williams, Garthwaite, Novak, Cogan and Yost. The common theme that they all profess is that the BHP is close to perfection in the world of classic 9mms. All it needs is good sights, a good trigger and good grips. Everything else is just icing on the cake. That said I like icing.

For me it just points right. It just feels right in the hand.

Beautiful Browning!!! I have one 9mm High Power; bought it off a very good friend. He was dealing with lung cancer and wanted to pass some of his favorites to his good friends. Wanted to gift it to me, but I wanted to make sure his Wife got the money. Only work done on it was removal of the magazine safety. Think I'm gonna send it off and have Novak night sights installed, some new grips, and maybe have it slicked up just a bit. Its already proven to be reliable with my favorite carry loads and is an accurate little gun.
