For those of you who compete and record your matches, I'm curious to know what kind of video gear (camera, camera mounting system, supporting software, etc) you use? Based on your experience, what would you say the minimum camera specs should be (frame rate, resolution, other features)? Anything in particular to avoid?

Is everyone just running GoPro cameras? Anyone try some of the smaller wearable cameras?

I'm not looking to become an "influencer" on social media. I just want something good enough to capture what I did, so that I can review my actions and improve my technique.

I assume that I want a head mounted rig rather than a chest/body mounted system.

I use a GoPro session 5 with a brainexploder.com 3D printed mount that clips to my hat and attaches via Velcro to an operator type hat.

Yep, I bought a GoPro Hero Session 5 and a hat with a mount, works great! There are around 30 different settings but I think I figured out the best one.

Another for the GoPro Hero 5 and the hat clip. I turn my hat around backwards and angle the clip up on my forehead and it works great

The problem I have with that method and the GoPro head strap is I get a massive headache by the end of the match and feel like it squishes my melon.

I don't use the head strap- that thing was invented by a sadistic a-hole.
    I just use the clip.

GoPro on body, someone filming on my phone from a good angle. My wife is 6'1, so she gets the good angles :)

Go Pro. Elastic headband mount on baseball hat. If you chest rig, your extended arms may cover what you are viewing
