Should one be overly concerned about the risk of firing if dropped when carrying a series 70 pistol. Curious how others think about this.

It doesn't concern me in the slightest...

...however, it seems to concern you.

No. I carry cocked and locked. Replace your FP spring with extra heavy duty at each recoil spring replacement

Do you wake up pissed, or is it a sort of progressive sort of thing that catches up with you later in the day?

    I can recommend some meds.

A simple question is best answered with a simple answer.

    Never thought about it actually.

Now that I have (thought about it), no it doesn't concern me. :)

So you can make a snarky response to another poster but can’t answer the question at hand?

My answer is no. I’m not concerned at all carrying a 70 series 1911.

    Cocked and locked.
    It doesn't concern me.
But it's a fair question for someone who might be new to the platform.

I've read enough of his snarky responses I decided to answer in kind.
    It is Friday night.

So, the first snark can't be answered with a second snark?
Just trying to understand the math here. ;)

I have no issues carrying a series 70.

I usually wake up pissed monday-friday, but not often on the weekends. :D

fieldgrade, you can put down your shovel now, or we can go room by room through your multi-storied glass house. Your choice.

Or we can just answer the Fellow Addicts question. He ask questions to better understand. I like that OP keep it up :)

Truthfully, never gave carrying a 70 series a thought as to the safety, as I do not currently own any series 80's guns.

    Greg- Its a fair question.
I think you'll find most folks, including myself, are comfortable carrying a 1911 cocked and locked with no firing pin safety.
