Last Friday I bought an RIA 9mm tactical. It came with one Check-Mate mag and I'm not sure I like it that much. The mag spring seems to have a slight 'bind' in it after about the fifth round is loaded. I got to shoot four rounds through this pistol Saturday between downpours in the backyard and the slide failed to lock open after the last round. I realize it could very well have been a new pistol/mag glitch that never happens again so I'll withhold judgment until I get to shoot it some more.

Those of you who have one of these pistols, what magazines do you use?

I use CheckMate and have had zero problems in over 400 rounds.

I don't have an RIA in 9mm, but I have some Checkmate mags I run in 3 other 9mms. They work fine. I also have older Springfield, and Tripp mags, no issues with any of them.

only 1911 in 9mm that I have is the Springfield. I have twelve Springfield metalform's that run great, but that's all I've tried.. Ron

I mostly use Metalform mags, have a few CMCs, a couple Checkmates, and a couple Tripps. But I don't have a 9mm 1911, just .45s.
