Checkmate’s CMP 1911 magazines rock

If anyone is looking for quality GI mags, the new (I think?) checkmate mags they are supplying to the CMP so far have been exceptional. They are a polished blue, vs the Parkerized ones like the 90’s NIW GI mags.

I called checkmate and they said on their website, the GI 7 round black magazines are the same mags they are supplying to CMP.

I intend to order some of them soon.

My personal experience has been good GI mags (ww2 and some post war samples I’ve tried) have been the most reliable mags with JHP’s I’ve ever used. They work with every ammo type in a dozen pistols, so I intend to use them for CCW use with Federal HST’s
