The O model 45 I bought a month or so back has finally broken in to the point where it goes in smooth but the Super and Colt Custom are still a battle . They will break in but it will take some time

DWE its got me bad I just bought another one over the weekend , Picked up a stainless Gold Cup Trigger came in sweet at 3lbs with all the stock parts and it shoots great . Has dual spring set up and chambered well with full mag so I left the stock springs in
The extractor was very loose so I snugged that up to ensure good function .
200rds in and all is well.

I prefer wood personally. Maybe even ebony? It’s a very nice looking pistol.

Thanks brother just ordered a set of black walnut Colt grips to try
For some reason Winchester white box ammo shoots much better than the soft shooting PMC Bronze out of this gun . Going to do some more testing and will keep you posted on results

I need to find .356 or .357 bullets. I’m all set otherwise.

First couple shots were low at 7 o'clock then I made a sight adjustment and hammered 4 mags out with fair accuracy at 20yrds offhand .

Still need to go a click or 2 right but Im going to wait till I have better light yesterday was a dark rainy day but good to get it ball parked in .

This was with Remington factory 130 gr ammo

My bullets came from Extreme bullets today . So I decided to make up a light load and check for function and accuracy with Rem Brass and Fed primer
Since I have 50 lbs of Bullseye and over 25 of Win 231 it was going to be one of these powders .W 231 was in the measure so I adjusted to 5.1 and feed my prepped cases topped it with 135 gr copper plated bullet sized at .356 then seated it at 1.260 .
Then used the Lee factory crimp die
Bullets looked great cycled some through the gun and it felt very smooth .
Off to the range and 50 went through the Gold Cup without a hitch . Accuracy was as good if not better than the best factory ammo I have tried .

Tomorrow I need to drag the speed machine out and see what these guys are doing wanted to make sure everything functioned first . I will keep you posted

I took the load down from 5.1 to 4.7 and it seemed to shoot well with very little recoil .
It functioned the gun well and locked back . 4.7 of Win 231 clocked 1100 FPS with the Extreme Plated Bullets . Seems like a nice target load so far till I got tired and started to let um leak out the bottom
