I need recommendations on clean burning, reliable .223/5.56X45 ammo.

I just bought my first AR-15 through a screaming hot deal.

    I already have an AR-10.

I'll second the IMI, have bought several thousand rounds of the 55 gr hundreds of the 77 Razor and all of them have gone bang with pretty fair accuracy for bulk price. And SG ammo is by far my favorite as well, usually pick up my 147 grain 9mm Speer TMJ from them as well for suppressed shooting.

Wolf Gold is good range ammo to 2-300 yds (max).

IMI and PMC X-tac m193 is arguably better and what I have in quantity for the revolution. :)

IMI, federal xm193, american eagle or privi for range use
