I picked up a DVC Omni yesterday from my range, it was a demo gun so it’s seen some rounds but is still nice and tight. My question is, how do you clean the carbon buildup off of the built in comp guns? It is pretty rock solid in certain spots.

This has been addressed a few times in discussions about Wilson comps. I soak in Hoppes and then scrape the carbon out with the plastic tips of one of those pen caps or tops.

It doesn’t affect the slide finish?

I only use the Hoppes inside the comp, not on the outside, like when you use it in the barrel. Also, that DLC finish seems pretty tough.
