Both beautiful guns, though I have to say that the nighthawk appeals to me more. Just because it seems to stay within itself as to what it is supposed to be. It still looks like the classic colt the 70 series has come to represent.

The guncrafter version is basically a noname with colt on the slide. It is a better gun for sure, but it costs more and I think in the process has lost something along the way.

Both are BEEYOOTIFUL guns, but the Nighthawk version has more appeal to me(and thats saying something considering I will soon have owned 4 guncrafters to only 1 NH)

Still hoping for an official build sheet.
Here is the build description from @Cajun Concealed web page.

Today I took the Colt Crafter to the range.
100 rounds of Remington 230 grain ball ammo were fired.
The only anomaly was on the first mag,
the slide stop engaged on round 4. It never happened again.
This was probably was a failure caused by me inadvertently thumbing
the slidestop during recoil, so I wont’t call it a failure or malfunction.
The gun seemed more Guncrafter and less Colt in the
hand no doubt due to the 15 LPI front strap checkering.
The trigger was a tad heavier than I like at 4.5 #, but it is crisp.
I would like the trigger pull to be tweaked to about3.5#.
The gun was smooth but solid in cycling and is as accurate and
reliable as my .45 and 9\38 Superb Hellcats.
Overall I am very pleased with this Colt/Crafter.
Although it’s says it’s a Colt on the outside,
this firearm’s DNA is certainly Guncrafter.

Today I field stripped, cleaned and inspected the Colt Crafter.
I have to say I’m pleased with what I saw.
There were no burs or tool marks to speak of. The hammer hooks were right at .020
and the sear had been tuned. I made a small adjustment to the
middle finger of the sear spring which reduced the trigger to just
over 3.5# on average of 5 pulls.
She’s clean and ready for the next trip to the range.

That's an impressive gun and shooting!!!

I am curious, how this gun compares to your other no names? Superior? Equal?

Just curious if there is anything extra to this gun for you.

Wow, I'm really impressed with the Colt Crafter. I carry a GI NN full size on a regular basis and has really become one of my favorites, but that Colt is something I'm going to have to look into, thanks for sharing.

The slide to frame fit is not quite as tight but much better than your typical Colt.
Other then that it’s very comparable to my other Guncrafters.

A bit of Mammoth Ivory for this
    Colt Crafter seemed called for.
