I acquired this Superb Colt some months ago, and have been really struggling to put it on the block (as well as awaiting a Colt Archive Letter, which is ordered, and shows the gun shipping to Kings). This being a 22LR makes it less common than the 38 Special counterparts already, then lets talk about the work done by Kings,

--Custom Sights, front and rear, Red Patridge and White Outline
--Trigger Face re-shaped and full cross hatch checkering (good luck finding someone to replicate that today!)
--One Off??? Hammer modification, to emulate the Colt Bisley hammer it seems, super graceful, and awesome checkering
--Action is super smooth, likely King's blessed it while there
--The grips are a bit of mystery, note the checkering patter, same one used by Colt on the Super rare Bisley Flat Top Targets, and Rare New Service Target revolvers. Also seen on some factory engraved guns of the time. Perhaps Colt had a hand in these, but also, Kings was certainly capable of such grip work in the pre-war years.

All this and the crazy good condition add up to a very special revolver, that I will never really replace. The Colt letter will be sent to the buyer once it arrives.
