Looking through old pictures, about 10 years ago, I found a shot of my Colt Series 80 that I sold not too long ago. For a few years this was the only pistol I had. I sold it a year ago. I hope it went to a good home. Show a picture of a 1911 you sold that you miss ~

Inherited this series 80 from Dad. It's not collectable, rattles a lot, and he had only bought it a couple of years before he died 25 years ago in sort of an effort to replace his dad's 1918 "bring back" that was carried in Belgium and then stolen in a burglary maybe 60 years ago.

I sold it to a very good friend a couple of years ago. Then traded to get it back.

It looked like this at the time.

Fixed it up as an IDPA match blaster. A trip to Novaks for sights, fit a beavertail myself, thumb safety, mag well, trigger work. I've posted it too many times here.

...and recently gave it to my oldest son as a graduation gift two weeks ago, looking like this. He's named after me, I'm named after my dad, who was named after his dad. Just seemed fitting.

Yep, there is a reason the windshield is large but the rearview mirror is small. Look where we're going, not where we've been.

I've owned a lot of 1911s but I really should've kept this one. It's a super rare example of an Austin Behlert Bob-Cat chopped S70 in .45. He made these before the factories started offering small 1991s. It was cut down to 4" and the grip frame was slightly shorter than an Officer's ACP. Even the mags were cut and rewelded and springs shortened to fit the gun.

I regret selling a few, but miss the guns I have not owned yet more.
