It's an offensive weapon system! Fun to shoot. Enjoy.
(How much did you pay for it?)
You must be mistaking our forum members for snowflakes. No one here is going to fret over what brand or model of 1911 you buy or don't buy. And you can bet that everyone will agree that HK23s are bad ass. However, we insist on pics of the actual gun you purchased and a range report.
It is a beast of a .45ACP and built like a tank. Wait till you see how massive the recoil spring assembly is. I have owned several.
Here's a great article about it:
Oh, no, I was just curious what you did pay, but, FWIW, that is a good price. Grab A Gun has them for around $1850, and most sell, used for around $1700, etc. You done good.
I better stop talking about them, or I'm going to end up with another one. I miss the one's I've sold. There just isn't anything else like it.
Getting a suppressor that works with its unique threading it a bit of a pain though.
But dang...they are awesome handguns and really accurate too, even with the 5 pound SA trigger, or in spite of it.
Thanks a lot, pal. See PM.
If you feel the need, here's an IWB holster for it, I'm sure it would be a breeze to lug that baby around inside your pants, at nearly 2.5 pounds loaded.
Phenomenal piece of Hardware, just dare ya to try and wear it out
Meh, the 40 oz isn’t to bad (full size loaded 1911=43+oz), the physical size though is something. The good news is if you run out of rounds you could always grab it by the muzzle and use it like a bat to bludgeon the guy to death.
I wonder if John Wick would consider an HK...
Are you even a Fan? I am questioning your fan hood.
Jw1. Hi P30L
I have a fan, a floor model Hunter in brushed stainless
You owe it to yourself to watch this video:
Yup, that's a fun one.
The forum HKPro is where the true believers in HK hang out and you'll find lots of great info there, and there is a whole sub-set of HK Collectors, those who collect the HK MK23 ... with the gold standard being the oldest models in mint condition in their original cases, etc. As per the usual.
