@boatdoc and other CT 2a’ers, how or what law would have to change to allow regular manufacturers’s magazines on firearms? Is there a specific legal clause, and who has to vote (or is it executive order) to change it?

Maybe there can be some sensible improvements in things like our ability to not stop magazines at 50-60% of magazine capacity.

Am I right?!
We pay just as much tax as residents in other states, but we get less constitutional guaranteed rights…

@GA/\/\/\/\A --- I am not an expert. I know the sandy hook mess caused a knee jerk passing of insane and worthless laws that banned hi cap mags, AR style rifles,... and these days they(nazicrat majority=blue state disaster zone) are using almost any kind of "incident" to red flag CT residents. parking lot disagreement? take your guns and permit. argue with a neighbor--same deal. no investigation or proof of presenting danger to others-- they take your guns ,charge you based on ANYTHING said against you by anyone.
your guns and rights are taken until YOU prove YOUR innocence--very Nazi like behavior

I also live in CT and have to suffer thru these ridiculous laws.

We in CT even had to previously register our over 10 round magazines like that’s even possible without a serial number .

So hicaps are legal to own if you register Ed them but not to carry with. Hicaps are allowed on the range and at home

I am sure all the bad guys will respect this law as well and not carry them

A lot of other states have jumped in the 10 round magazine limit so that would be a hard rule to change.

Even more dump is the AR BAN but what is allowed is a CT “ OTHER”

Looks like an AR PISTOL with a brace but has a 12.5 inch barrel and forward grip.

This is somehow legal and if far more concealable with an collapsed AR brace thank a regular stock.

Just dumb politics

Read that yesterday. My biggest concern is the restriction on carry.

Everyone in CT should have their others by now, but I imagine there will be another rush on them now. So if anyone doesn’t have one I would get one asap
is there an organization in CT that is organizing to help defeat these draconian measures?

Although I’d love to carry standard capacity magazines again. I don’t think we have a snowballs chance in hell.

sure would open up the world of possibilities for guns that would be legal.

I have to get mags blocked to 10 rounds now. costly but it allows me to own some sweet pew pews

I too live in CT - this is why local elections matter . Allowing democrats to drive the bus is never a good idea and we are paying the price.

I guess my biggest question would be - why do we need to “register” anything with the state ? What possible reason could they have for wanting that ….
draw your own conclusions there .
unfortunately all of ours are already “registered” with the state in their database. This does unfortunately give them a more precise list of who owns the “big bad black guns”.

Obamantion taught the nazicrats that controlling the ammunition supply is the way to control us. No ammo--guns are worthless. the rest is just fluff IMHO

Three practical steps we can partner with CCDL on:

FYI, there will be well timed instructions provided by CCDL through there website, here on FB and emails to CCDL members.
So, first, make sure you’re an actual member, not simply following this FB group. Second, consider joining one if the several upcoming Legislative Workshops (details on CCDL.us). Third, consider joining CCDL’s Outreach Program to become a force multiplier.
