Got my Ed Brown back from John Harrison yesterday. Its keeping company with my Baer TRS. Wanted to start with semi-customs to limit the $$$ needed for customization. Turns out starting with a semi custom kinda limits your options a bit. Next stop, Colt Series 70 reproduction, full custom. That'll be my last 1911.:rolleyes2:

Both look great but the Baer is very very nice! :thumb:

I have to ask, what kind of turnaround time on the Baer modifications?

I have a Mono Commanche I would like to do a makeover on.

Hell,my PII in 9mm could use a touch up as well!

I have to agree. The Baer is on another level. This is my last Brown. Good pistol, but just not my thing.

Dropped off the Brown early October. Got it back yesterday. Most of the wait was due to Metaloy though.

Freak is right. I've been told you can see skulls in the grain. It's all I see now when I look at them.

Very nice. Someone advised me to have John H do some work on my first 1911. I love his work. I'm on the 5 year list too. Like you, will be going with a Colt series 70. For the price of a cup of coffee every day, I can afford a Harrison in 5 years…. or have a cup of coffee everyday….

I'm trying to be conservative on my wish list, but I know darned well when it is my turn, I'll be throwing the kitchen sink in there.

Hard to imagine those guns of yours could be improved upon. If there's anyone capable of doing so it is Mr Harrison.

    Very very nice all around.

Who made the grips on the KC?
