I just talked with him, his fingers are too big to use his cell phone to reply here.
He is fixin' to go undercover and get us some info. He said he will let us know in a few hours whats up.
Thats about all he could tell me too.
Lol. Undercover. They got cams all over him for fear he will disclose all of their deepest darkest secrets.
Hope all is well with him.
He was talking about anal probing...... I'm sure he is fine...
so THAT is their secret!
CNC anal probing. It's a science.
Wow,all of this concern makes me feel all tingly in funny places! :waaaht:
I got back late yesterday,we had some bad news while at Cabot, one of my wife's family passed away unexpectedly and we had to leave a little early.
I will be posting my impressions probably on Sunday as I have to go in to the gun shop today then drive up to Dayton for a family gathering.
I will say this though,I was wrong about Cabot.
They are doing some interesting stuff. :biggrin1:
Sorry to hear about your loss, my friend. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts about the trip.
Thoughts and prayers with you bro.
Sorry for your loss Dat.
Looking forward to hearing your impression.
DAT 85: Please also accept my condolences on the passing of a family member.
It appears that the experience at Cabot was positive. I will look forward to reading your findings.
My prayers are with you and your family! Take care and be with family, we can wait patiently for the report!
My wife and I would like to express our thanks for all of the kind words and the thoughts extended by all of the members here as well as on TOS.
I appreciate the support of everyone in some very trying times.
As I left CABOT GUNS somewhat hastily on Friday,I discovered that I hadn't picked up a copy of the NDA at the front desk when I left the factory.
I contacted the President of the company and he stated that he will have a copy in the mail this date.Reviewing the products at CABOT won't be easy for me to do unless I can know with certainty the limits within which I can report.Non disclosure agreements limit disclosure for a reason.
I would suggest that all interested readers and forum members study the website for the parent company of CABOT GUNS LLC. PENN UNITED TECHNOLOGIES has a very interesting background in the field of producing products requiring precision and EXTREME quality. They build machines to build machines.
And from my visit I can tell you this.......
American manufacturing and innovation is NOT DEAD!
This mission statement bleeds over to CABOT GUNS philosophy of building 1911's.
Originally when this all started,my opinions of this company were based on my past experience with new 1911 gun companies starting up,making a lot of promises and then failing miserably, closing leaving buyers with a product and no support.(AMT,TDE,ODI VIKING as well as RANDALL come to mind).
Also,CABOT GUNS website didn't clearly project what they were trying to build. They have built 2 generations of guns since the original web page went up.The guns pictured were pre production.
And,their still evolving.
This company is like all other 1911 makers. They are building THEIR interpretation of what an ultimate 1911 is.
When I review the NDA,I will know what exactly I can tell you all as to why and how they are building 1911's they way they are.
Thanks to all for your interest in this exciting journey that I embarked on.
Thank you for the tease my friend.
I'm glad you and yours are getting through this. Head up brother
Looking forward to it DAT!
Thanks for the update DAT!
