No one has posted a December drill yet. I’d like to do it a little different this month if that’s okay. The course of fire will be easy.

10 rounds slow fire at 25 yards on a standard bullseye target. Target is scored using the scoring rings.

    http://targets.s3.amazonaws.com/PDF/Bullseye1.pdf

The only change is, you can shoot this as many times in the month as you want, and the winner is whoever accumulates the most points this month. You can only shoot it once per range session though. So, it pays to go to the range more often.

Example: I go to range four times this month and shoot it once each time. My scores are 79,52,88 and 61. My total score for the month would be 280.

This won’t necessarily go to the fastest or most accurate shooter, but the one willing to put in the time.

Let me know what you guys think. If this is the drill we choose, I will send out a little gift to the winner this month.

Given a I have a 4 month old daughter and a 2.5 year daughter, I’m pretty sure I’m gonna lose this one ;)

Only two more years until the oldest can go to the range with me!

Different guns the same range session?

I’d like to keep it to one run per session, but if you know you won’t get out much this month, I’m okay with 2 guns per session. I just want to get as many of us participating, and not worried about getting destroyed by @Pistol Pete like we usually do!

Can we use the 25 yard repair center targets? I have a pile of those. The scoring rings seem to be the same size.

They do not have the 6 ring, but I will be ....um....challenged, yeah that's it, challenged to hit paper anyway!!!

I won't mind dropping the 6 ring points. Hell, I can barely do a fist sized group @15 yds.

I may be able to shoot this 20 times.

    So two hands are ok?

I have to show this. I took my girlfriend to her first outdoor bullseye match. This was her slow fire target

There are only 9 holes, number ten nowhere to be found. She has been shooting less than 2 years. She is over 60 so they let her use two hands. Gun is Springfield RO Champion with red dot sight.

Purple biker, I see you everywhere

My first entry will be submitted tomorrow.

I guess I'll start the festivities!!

I drive right by the range I belong to every day about noon time.

I took only 10 rds with me (if I had more ammo lunch would be a lot longer!!)

Shooting the 25 yd. Repair Center Target, my score today is 56. A 10...four 8's...two 7's. 3 shots off target.

I am going to draw a 6 ring on a piece of cardboard and place the Repair Center Target in the middle.

Hope the snow holds off. More than 4" I won't be able to get into the range.

Whoa, that is how it's done!! Very nice. Is that shot with irons or a RAR?

Now to my mortal score. Two 6's...two 8's...two 9's... 4 off target... 46

That gives me a total of.......102.

Nice job by all. I like what purple did. Let’s keep your tally with each new post so it’s easier at end of month.

    Session #3: A 10... two 9's...two 8's...a 7...and four off target, 8-10" low left. But it was a nice group!!
It isn't a flinch. My trigger control isn't consistent.
I can see the sights drifting to 8 o'clock when I press the trigger, which I think means I am not pressing the trigger straight back. Gotta work on that.

    Anyway, I shot a 51 for today.

    Drill total......153.

Just run it at 18 yards but reduce target size by 20 percent any you’re in the running!
