This is Socius #2, a chopped CCO made by devel by cutting and rewelding a lightweight commander. Flawless work.

Very cool bit of 1911 history there. I used to have one of Austin Behlert's chopped Gov't Models, the only gun I've sold that I regret letting go.

I used to run into Charlie Kelsey at IPSC matches in Marietta, OH. Brilliant and creative guy.

I was going to have him build me a Simplex, but the wait and the cost were too much for me. I wish I'd have just eaten bologna for a while and got that done.

As to that S&W sight, Kim Ahrends used them on some builds. They may be functional, but they're FUGLY.
