Is there a divorce lawyer on this forum? I swear I'm going to need one if I see another gun that I NEED to have! How many other "Addicts" are in the same position? If there is a lawyer on here, I bet he's making a killing or taking 1911's as payment

There are way too many beautiful 1911's and other miscellaneous firearms. This is when having a credit card with a high limit can really hurt my marriage.

The wife and I finally paid off our combined CC's a while back... since then I have been cash only!
Has lead to letting a few good ones go, in order to get the next new good one.

    Happy Wife... Happy Life!

I’m sure I’d be in some trouble if I didn’t usually ask for permission :D

i suspect your post to be tongue in cheek, if not reassess your wants. Guns are nothing to be bought with credit, IMHO. Heck CC outstanding balances are financial ruin. Buy only whats absolutely necessary and pay the CC cards off! Now on to that divorce lawyer request.

Well...my wife knew I was selling a few guns to buy a new high end one. What she doesn't know is I bought my kids a Ruger Mk4 lite for plinking and I just bought myself 2 new staccato's today. I guess I will need to sell some more guns before we receive the CC statement. She only looks at the statement balance...so if I pay it off before, she will never know ;)

Your reply sums up my philosophy on credit card use to a tee. I use them when necessary and pay them off weekly. They're only really there in case of emergency.
But I asked for a "Divorce Lawyer" not a "Financial Advisor"...Lol

Well, not sure if it’s a blessing or a curse but... my wife is an attorney.
When it comes to guns, she is also a very good sport. She knows I have quite a few (Actually more than quite a few) but has never asked how many or commented about me buying several in rapid succession.

I am blessed to have a great wife but I also know that if I ever crossed the marital line she has the ability to take everything that I have...

You sound like my dad, pre-Alzheimer's. Now he wants to charge everything. He wants to leave a big credit card bill behind to walk away from...Lol

I feel sorry for you guys. Told my wife this morning that I am buying another gun. Her reply was " I am not going to ask what you bought, because I do not care." She knows that I only need one more.

I learned pretty early on it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission....

Heck, I'm on board for that divorce lawyer's info.

I'd rather "ask" for permission now, than "beg" for forgiveness later. I already have a list of things to beg for...Lol

Actually, a good divorce lawyer is also a financial advisor of sorts... it takes a very good attorney to protect your assets during a contested divorce.

Yes, yes you are. It’s good to know where the boundaries are.

She likes things with 4 legs, horses, cows, dogs, etc. I only have two legs so rank pretty low on the totem pole.

You should've said you "only have 3 legs". That would've been hilarious!
