Does the DDP on the Staccato set lower then their other plates ?

I'd prefer a different sight , but it appears in setups I am seeing . That the Delta Point Pro Sight sits lower in teh slide then any other sight does . Is that correct?

The Staccato DPO’s (or DUO’s if it’s an older model) are all factory milled to run the Deltapoint Pro optic (or optics that share the same footprint) without a plate. So, technically, yes they do sit lower than any optic that requires a plate on the Staccato.

The caveat is the Deltapoint Pro body and window are taller than a lot of other optics so the overall height may not necessarily be lower when running a Deltapoint Pro. Clear as mud?

Yeah, the Delta Point Pro is thick. The CHPWS plate is thinner than the Dawson DPO/DUO. I hear CHPWS is working on a steel plate, if you are worried about their aluminum plates.

EDIT: I think the new Holosun EPS might be the lowest optic height red dot. That combined with a CHPWS plate might be able to use very low irons. Not sure anyone on here is running this setup. I am using a first generation CHPWS Acro plate with an Acro. The gunsmith said my front sight needed to be a .215 when he used a laser. To be honest, I have not shot my irons since installing the dot. But it looks close enough.

If I remember right, when I got my first DPO gun, the RMR on its DPO plate still sat lower (in regards to overall height) than the flush-mounted DPP. Add to that the advantages in robustness and battery life for the RMR... I went with the RMR. Since then, Holosun has made significant inroads into the RMR market. FWIW, my newest Staccato and all of my Shadow Systems guns wear Holosuns.
Can't beat a 509t x2 unless the new EPS is better. I really REALLY did not want to like it and would alaways prefer to buy US but China embarrassing US optics right now. Acro is cool but I don't buy aimpoint because they refuse to produce a green dot.

I also like the 509t on my P with tactical height sights. The EPS window is only slightly smaller, roughly 508t window size, and would be my go to for Carry height sights. OP, hope this helps!
