I'm looking at a Doublestar 1911. I've read a lot about them. Any opinions?
Brian has one and speaks highly of it.
Mike - I would own one in a second. Its very high on my short list. Reviews have been sound, although scarce. Wish I had one to let you shoot.
I would totally buy one....and I dig the rollmark. :thumb:
Cool 1911s for sure.
Mine shoots great.
I would own their non-rail version. I just can't stand the reverse rail/dust cover cut.
That makes one of us, Paul.
Actually the markings aren't that bad. The dragon is cool.
Yeah, I've gotten used to that though.
They are hard to find in stores, but I know Doublestar has them in stock.
bud's and jetguns usually has them in stock.
They are on the top of my list for a Railed option, but it will be awhile.
I like the look overall really. And dragons are flat cool.
The do not have any MIM or anything either do they?
I don't believe there is any MIM whatsoever.
That's becuase they are made locally in Winchester.
Thanks. You're a 1911 encyclopedia.
I'm really liking the new stainless model. :thumb:
I need the non-railed one on the Bud's website.
Yeah, I haven't seen one yet though.
I like the looks of the Doublestar, and I don't mind the dragon, I have seen far worse. For fans of the frame you can get it at Jetguns.:biggrin1:http://www.jetguns.com/doublestar-1911-frame-p-69.html
I dig it. :thumb:
Haven't seen one in person, but have seen a few magazine ads featuring them. Good looking gun.
