When the slide is in motion I keep the trigger pulled
This was discussed recently. Yes, it can damage the internal parts, and is a decided "No-no".

I remember you posting this in another thread. I've started using it all the time with customers. It's simple and easy to understand.

The experts' advice makes sense to me, but I've just never done it with any of my guns, especially someone else's. It just seems and feels (literally) wrong to me. It cannot be "good" for the gun, so why risk it.
I did this on accident on my STI. Should I be worried about it happening just once?
No you shouldn't. Now for punishment close your car door on your hand...lol.
Your faith has saved you, go in peace.
Ba-humbug Video is referring to a loaded weapon...
Notice they do NOT mention on an empty chamber. On a 1911 with an empty chamber it's bad news. Caleb said they didn't mention it because it was mentioned in another video.
Is it only 1911? I feel like I've done this with my cz 75. Curious if this would be an issue?
Sorry I can't help you on this. Last time I handled a CZ style pistol was a Bren Ten a LOT of years ago and I honestly don't remember.
