I personally can’t wait for the DWX but I don’t see them being available this year and when they are they will be unobtainium.

I'll wear out our TSO before the DWX is available. I'm sure DW will get it together in the new location. Just gonna take some time. FNY!

I sold my CZ Shadow II that I customized with CGW parts in lieu of getting the DWX. Now I am so much regretting wishing I would of just kept the Shadow until the DWX made it out.. My luck though. The last 3 new guns I bought ended up getting discontinued within months and new models come out of two of them that made the ones I had pretty much obsolete.. About ready to say to hell with the wait and buy something else.

    @Red-5... Give it a break? Really?:roflmaro::roflmaro::roflmaro:
Meh... I don’t think I will... Because as impressed
as you are with your own words of wisdom...
It came off like you actually think someone
cares about your opinion. And some actually
may. But I sir am not one of them.

The wonderful thing about this board is the freedom
    of expression it offers.
So like it or not, we make room for everyone’s opinion.
Even folks like you who think their opinion
somehow carries more weight than others who have
been on the board a lot longer and made a lot more
contribution to it than the 35-40 posts you’ve made in the past year and a half.

The fact is that more than a few folks around here know
that I am and have been one of DW’s biggest fans, both
as an owner and in company promotion.
So I am indeed frustrated with DWs handling of th DWX.

So.. You go on thinking you’re a moderator, and I’ll
continue to say the DWX is an over promised
and unrealized product that lots of folks around here
have been just as frustrated with as I.
I for one have moved on to the 2011 platform.

    “Give it a break”

Thank you kindly for your unsolicited advice.

WC, LBC and many others have continued to fill customer demand during this virus. They aren’t encumbered by operating in an oppressed state.

Appears that DW is paying the price for this.

Understandable when customers grow tired and move on to other options.

So here is some free....unsolicited advice for yourself as you tell people how to spend their time & money....and what to think......

Steve, next time just get the short reset parts from someone. If you re-cut, polish, and send those S2 factory parts for DLC, you will be way ahead of the game. And save a pile of money...

It took Winchester over 2 years to produce the Featherweight in 6.5 Creedmoor, after announcing it at 2018 SHOT, take heart!

Yup, would be harder to find bigger unsolicited advocates of DW products online than @Dwe And @Integrity Arms! If they are griping it is likely warranted and something the company should address. Don’t see what the point of trying to attack people for their complaints on this is, seeing as they have a passion for their products...

    Exactly.

In the past 18 months my father & I have bought 10+ new DW 1911’s.

We are both big fans of their products and their customer service.....which Dad has used with his Specialist 9mm & PM45. They took care of him quickly.

Each of my Valor commanders, PM’s and Valkyrie have run very well through break-ins. Excellent triggers. Well fitted parts. Great looking finishes.

Was looking forward to the DWX offerings.

Events happened....pandemic and political buffoonery in NY & other places.

    It is what it is.

Grateful their are other brands with manufacturing options for high quality weaponry that can be had if a person is willing to wait on semi-custom orders and such.

I hear ya, before I started smithing them I had a pretty large collection of them myself, not the size of yours and DWEs but sizable.

Even after their crappy new line up and their discontinuing of several of the models that I really liked, I stuck with them, in hopes they'd make up for their crazy decisions to get rid of their flagship gun, dump the Valkyrie etc.. When the DWX was announced I got pretty excited, I was ready for one then.

But, imo they didn't have their ducks in a row to get the ball rolling in order to get them to market. Just like their recent bad choices imo they dropped the ball there as well.

I was a little late requesting one and was told even after it come out it might take me a year to get one from a few different suppliers as their books were already filled with orders. So, even if it had come out when projected It would of been an even longer wait for me...

I had heard a rumor that their parts supply was affected by the COVID which I get, but their not even releasing any statements about what the plans might be to try and get the 1000s of orders filled.

And then there was the getting rid of Andre and Shawn which I assume had something to do with the moving of operations to Kansas, which I thought a good move ( not dumping the guys but, the actual moving of manufacturing) until I read an email response to a fellow addict and client about something that was wrong with his 1911.

The suggestions they gave him to fix the issues were absolute nonsense and complete drivel. Totally unrelated to the problems he was having and no offer for him to send it in to be looked over. Really have no clue what's going on, and that in and of itself is much of the frustration.

This is the reason why people aren’t happy. Dan Wesson should be addressing its consumers about the DWX. We all get that this is unprecedented but I can’t find anything by Dan Wesson addressing the delay in the release of the DWX and a possible timeline as to when we can expect to see them. All I can find online is speculation.

As far as being August and eight months after the shot show release, they should not release if they are not ready. Actually, if you look into the history of the DWX it was posted about in early to mid 2019 before shot show. As far is being shut down and being located in New York, thats there problem. Why on earth would you have a gun manufacturing business in New York. Only speculating but I think the DWX is not ready, I hope I'm wrong but who knows.

Like I said. The DWX is the unrealized figment of DW’s Imagination.
DW figured out how to produce the new Valor, Vbob and Specialist,
Inspite of the Covid 19 crock of shiot. To promote the DWX and not deliver
is yet another sign of CZ’s failure to understand the American market!
