Who else felt the earthquake about 1:59 Eastern time? Ron
Not up here in Cleveland.
I have a feeling the San Andreas fault is going to rumble soon.
It was expected to quake in the late 80's but never happened.
I believe there was also one of about the same magnitude this morning in Colorado.. Ron
The people on the other end of my building, closer to the ground didn't feel it..
My father-in-law called me a few minutes after 2pm and said he felt the house shake in Cape Cop and ran to check the news. I have also heard it was felt as far north as NH
*Some* people did say that they could feel it - I actually had a co-worker say "what was that?" to me...but I didn't feel a thing.
I grew up in Taiwan, so unless things are falling off the shelves, I kinda don't notice.
My brother-in-law's family, in DC, reported-in that they're OK. The cell phone service is completely overloaded over there, now, though, so if you have loved-ones there, try their land-line.
I work near White Plains and I felt it. However it felt like a slight jello jiggle. At first I thought it was my imagination, but the water in my water bottle on my desk was shifting a bit.

My chair rocked back and forth.. It spooked me a little, but then I thought NAH.. I googled and it didn't hit the net for about ten minutes.. Ron
