Picked this up from Jess @TheWichitaGunClub.

    It’s really nice!

I’m a fairly traditional 1911 addict and don’t care for some of the newer zoomie trends, but this is a NICE pistol.

Fit, finish and performance are equal to my other three Browns.

100 flawless rounds through it today.

    Challis slim bushings enroute.
I like slim grips on my 1911s.
Got a set of VZ black Gatorbacks ready to go on this one.

Looks very nice, Tom! Personally, I really like those grips! Sure looks like my wood pile, for the photo op... :)

Probably slim grips look better on most pistols but they don't feel the best to me. Slim grips usually allow my long fingers to go up to the second joint on my trigger finger. Standard grips are generally .240 to .260 thickness and I have some made that are .290 thick. I just handle the gun and point it better with thick grips. To each his own thoughts and preferences.
Also slim grips will allow the gun to twist and turn in my hand when shooting making point of aim off from the first shot.

    Thanks Ed!

You didn’t see me sneak into your place to use your wood pile?

Congrats on a nice pistol! I'll probably have to change the grips on mine.

Very very nice looking 1911. Congratulations.
Personally I like the grips that are on it. I would like to have an Ed. Brown someday.
