I designed a Add-on Rail called the EZ Rail. I designed and patented one for the 1911 and 92FS for the military back in the mid 2000's. We really haven't advertised much but folks have been coming to our website TRGear and ordering them pretty steadily.

I want to introduce the EZ rail to you addicts and hope it gets some traction!! ez 1911 rail.jpg

Looks really similar to the Surefire M07 add on rail. I’ve put mine on a couple times, and it works for the intended purpose.

Retriever man Surefire came out with that unit a few years after my patented Rail hit the market.
It seemed like a rip off of our design but the slide stop goes trough both sides and it is aluminum. It also costs more. Plus it doesn’t detach quickly if you wanted to remove it.

Well, depending on how much you hate her, you could post them here, or the NSFW thread. Just depends on how much of the guns are showing

I got the Surefire rail with a gun I bought, and I don’t know much about or which came first the chicken or the egg. Like I said, it works for its intended purpose.

'Slides on and off in less than a second'
Is that including removal of the slide stop or just sliding it on? Can't be the former?

Also I wonder how well an extended 'universal' slide stop would work in different makers guns? Any issues with that?

What is the slide stop made from, billet steel?

I've never really seen a need to "add" a rail to a gun. Buy a new one that's the same but with a rail. Moreover 1911's aren't supposed to look like civics with fart cans. Just my not so humble opinion.

I'm not trying to bag on anyone or their products. Just don't see the need for my applications.

    Universal slide stop? No thanks.
