Facetime Screwup.

    Doesn't surprise me one bit. You have to assume someone is watching you or listening to you at all times anymore.

    looks like its only for group chats.

    Its been my experience that Google Duo is far better than FT though.
    A) less drops, stable connection.
    B) less banned countries

    My tin foil take is that this was the result of an alphabet agency screwing with code to eavesdrop on targeted conversations, ooopps! But that would be crazy right? :D

    There is apparently a similar glitch with the video too.

    I'm sure that the ability to open your phone with your fingerprint or the newer facial recognition id is simply a matter of convenience....

    I worked in the high-tech world as a embedded software engineer/manager for over 30 years. The fact that people believe commercially available communications software/hardware is a secure form of communications just astounds me.

    Anything you say or put on the internet, or transmit (regardless of transmission medium) can be intercepted/hacked for financial gain (bad guys), or for 'national security' (more bad guys?). To believe otherwise is just foolish.
