First field strip in 40 years...
Gotcha! Me not the pistol.
After a long 40+ year hiatus from shooting shooting sports I recently got back in the game. Have a Les Baer Pii and after Baer's recommended thousand round break in (wary nary a hiccup) I gave her a field strip. For those of you who have never done so before I would highly recommend the attached videos. I especially thought the one from Alchemy Custom is a great place to start.

My advice to all you beginners. Take your time, it is really easy.

Now you have me wondering how many people on 1911 Addicts haven't field stripped their 1911s that they are addicted to. Some never shoot them them so I suppose there is a percentage that may not field strip, either.
