I took the new DW out today to put its first 50 rounds down range. It ran flawlessly, no problems with function and point of aim was dead on. I truly couldn’t be happier with this thing. This is my 4th Dan Wesson and I’m just blown away.

This is the first time I’ve followed their instructions on break in. Not sure if I’ll continue all the way through to 500 rounds, but I thought I’d see if I could tell a deference between doing it and not.

Nice pickup! Is it .45 or 9mm?

Very nice! How is the recoil and getting back on target? I've never shot a lightweight commander, but I've been looking at the Valkyrie in .45 for some time now.

I can’t say for sure, I shoot a couple times a week and that turns into thousands of rounds a year so I only shoot reloads. I was shooting 200gr ball, not a real light load but I thought they were very manageable.

I love mine. I have 9mm though. I have 100 rounds through mine. Will shoot it again next week.

I’m super lucky, I have a range just a couple miles from my work so a few of us go at lunchtime every week. I’ll get out there next week as well.

First time out I put two hundred rounds through my 9mm Valkyrie. I wish I had taken more ammo!

I have ran a couple of magazines of 230 gr. +P through mine, and the felt recoil isn't as harsh as I was expecting. But, like you, I shoot quite a bit.

I have 110 rounds thru my 9mm Valkyrie. I really like it. I also have a Colt Lightweight Commander in 45, I like it also. As to recoil on the .45, it's snappier than a 5" steel 1911. Note that a steel Commander is snappier than a 5" 1911. Any of them are manageable. I'm. a fan of the Commander size gun, it seems faster than the 5" gun, both on the draw and on follow up shots
