After waiting a long time for Korth to offer wood grips for the Mongoose I ordered a pair.

The good news is it looks better than the rubber hogues -

The bad news is this gap!

I guess I expected more from Korth. I don’t really want the hassle of sending them back, if a simple sanding will do the trick. I’ll spend a little more time trying to reinstall and fit. For around $240 I expected better.

For $240, I’d send em back!
That being said, I think most custom fit grips require the grip maker to have possession of said gun. Or maybe I made up that, but I swear I’ve read that on the internet lol
Nice grips & sweet shootin iron!!

Fiddled with them a bit, and got the gap closer. Looks like they route around where the frame sits in the grips. I had wood shop in 9th grade so I think I'll take a stab at making that groove a little deeper :). Or, just run some sandpaper around the grips where the frame hits.

The gap is uneven, you would have to deepen the inletting a bit, then sand the mating surfaces flat. I am not a good enough woodworker to try it. I have one gun with visible marks where I leveled out misaligned halves. It isn't pretty but it is comfortable. Didn't cost $240, though.

Ok rainy Sunday and my football team sucks, so I took a crack at the grips. Might putz around with them a little more, but for now I can live with this.

Anyone need a magwell blended? lol
