Since 4 PM yesterday I have been dealing with flooding in my yard/ basement.

First time in 17 years I’ve had to deal with that. Warm temperatures and 2+ feet of snow means the snowmelt stream beds are clogged up (with snow and ice) and the water is gonna go somewhere.

I’ve spent 600 bucks on sandbags so far and I bought a 1/2 hp transfer pump to pump out the basement.

At last it feels like we may be getting on top of it.... hope I can sleep a little tonight.

& I Hope I never have to use the pump again!

I wish you well as I do know the problem. I had water in the shop last week. I live on a lake and along the snake river and I live on a hill. So its the snow melt. Even couldn't get through one drift with the plow truck.

Damn ! My thoughts are with you. Haven’t had it happen yet but it’s come close enough that I had a trailer ready to start evacuating valuables. I live on a river.

Same here. I just refinished 20x27 of my basement and the side I did not refinish started letting water in. Haven’t had water since 2009ish when we had a plethora of rain around Mother’s Day.

I still have my pumps and shop vacs. But come spring I’ll have to dig and tar and landscape. Thankfully the side I did is watertight.

Yup flooding does suck. We got 59.5” of rain (5 feet) during Harvey, we had some water issues.
