The oven died so not only had to smoke a chicken had to grill the veggies as well last night. Good thing it was only 95 with about 1000% humidity. Before the big storms hit.
Made Neapolitan pizza for lunch.
Spyderco Sage with carbon fiber scales
Made a batch of Razor Clams. Might last a couple days...
Made up something I have not had in several years. Cucumbers, tomatoes and onions in Zesty light italian dressing. Only 1 of my 3 kids likes this, and my wife won't try it either. She thinks it smells bad. I had consumed about half of the bowl before I remembered to take a pic. Mmmmmm, it's good!
Looks awesome! Especially on a hot summer day!!
Smoked two baby briskets ( about 2.5 lbs each) last night.
On st 3pm off at 6am. Wrapped at 7pm.
Tender and delicious!
Thanks for looking.
Man that looks good.
Thanks. It was good!
Homemade glazed donut from the Donut Man's trailer (on the dike in Machias, ME) and snack bacon from Dunkin' - an outrageous combination.

Yesterday was a great day.....today started off well, too.
Made a drive out into the country to visit a spot that is run by a local peach farmer’s daughter. They have all sorts of fresh produce.
My wife really wanted peaches & various melons.....I wanted tomatoes. I didn’t take the time to plant any this year.
Made a fast pitstop on the way there to see a friend of a friend who could spare some primers. It was a favor that I much appreciate.
We had some stellar BLT sammiches for dinner and the tribe wanted peach cobbler. Easily done. Made the most of my one night off this week.
Didn’t get a pic of last night’s BLT.....but took a pic of the cobblers when they came out of the oven.
They added vanilla ice cream to theirs.
Breakfast this morning was a bigtime omelette with cheddar, bacon, American, queso, those tomatoes and salsa & sour cream on top.
Made a pan of biscuits for them with some peach jam we also picked up from the farmer’s spot. She wants cantaloupe, too.
I’ll be napping well today.
Hurricane was a non-event here and more importantly it spared my parents, sister, in-laws who were in its path in ENC.
Ribeye and some wild Morels last night, had a couple bites before I remembered to take a pic. I can't usually eat this much at once but I wolfed it all down. It'll take me a couple days to nap it off...
