    So the other night was my Anniversary so the wife and I cooked up a nice simple meal. :)

    We started with some homemade shrimp cocktail poached in court bouillon and raw oysters on the half shell served with a lovely bottle of Pommery champagne. From there we had some chanterelle mushroom ravioli in herbed brown butter. Finally we had chateaubriand with roasted root veggies and mashed potatoes with demiglace. We paired that with a nice bottle of Mount Vedder Cab 2010.

    Just a couple of fried in cast iron burgers last night....on my new Solo Stove Campfire. Wood burning stove. I love it.

    Pork tenderloins, one with a rub and sauce, the other only garlic powder, salt and pepper. Bot of them spent overnight in a basic brine.

    Don’t hate....made some vegan chili...i know, the horror!...but Wife wants to try plant based diet for a bit...it actually wasn’t bad at all...flame suit on, LOL...

    My daughter who is a vegan and animal lover made some of the vegan chili...It was filled with cat and dog hair..

    yikes!.....mine was ground New Mexico Chilies, ground Ancho Chilies, cumin, cayenne, onions, jalapenos, diced tomatoes, beans, and quinoa (supposed to use bulgur wheat, but forgot to get some). came out pretty good....no cat or dog hair, LOL.
