I will say that my four .38 Supers are each more accurate at 25 and 50 yards than ANY of my 9x19 guns. I find Silhouette and AA7 to be top notch for accuracy.

My .40 1911 is also more accurate than my 9mm 1911s.

I used to use AA7, but it wore out barrels quicker than other powders.

How long did your barrels last?

After 40K, I saw a decrease in accuracy and had to use nearly .5 grain more powder to make the same PF. This was shooting major power factor, when major was minimum 175.

Granted, not a lot of guns see 40K.

I like AA7 as well, although I may try the Lil Gun load with some Hornady HAPS just because somebody gave me a bunch of Lil Gun recently :D

I am currently in the process of doing some testing with different powders. I am leaning toward AA#7 and N105 as my "go-to" powders. My particular pistol seems to especially like N105 with the 147gr Hornady XTP. Very nice round!

What diameter 147 grain are you using. Mine seems to like.356 and I got some.357 to try in 125 grain.

I often think about ditching my 45’s and just focusing on 9 and 38 Super. Would sure streamline life and cover anything I ever needed to do...

I like them all. Some more than others.
The 38 Super seems to be the one I enjoy the most.
