Are you saying kids with genuine disabilities shouldn't get those things they need? I don't know how they pass out those where you teach, but they are hard to come by where I'm from.

    These, in contrast, are snowflakes.

Try getting and keeping employment when you're smart as hell but have autistic tendencies or ADHD. Yes, I'm a Special Ed teacher, and I have a lot of firsthand knowledge.

Easy there, podner. Please keep things in context.

Of course genuine disabilities deserve help.

I am talking about providing coloring books, bubbles, safe spaces, marshmellows, etc. to kids because their delicate sensibilities were offended or because they are in trauma because someone disagreed with them. Letting a normal kid putting out no effort re-take an exam until he passes. Letting a kid go to the next grade even though he failed miserably. Etc., etc.[/QUOTE]

I have a kid who's in a wheelchair, and I knew what you were saying. No need to apologize when there's nothing to apologize for. ;)

I'm with you on that one. Overexcitable parents who want an instant explanation/solution to their kids' problems so they can go back to their lives of luxury. Life ain't luxurious (but it can be rich).
