Hey everyone. I’m supposed to be picking up my first 2011 on Saturday. Embarrassed to say I’ve never even shot a 1911. I’ve always admired the 1911 platform but the capacity was an issue for me. I’m getting a GI Hellcat X2 Commander. Found an unused one for what I think is a great price. Really looking forward to putting some rounds through it and hoping to carry it.

I’ve got a Hellcat X2 Commander, and absolutely love it. And that’s one helluva way to introduce yourself to the platform! No dawdling, or starting off with a SA, Kimber or Colt (let alone a Philippine Special).

Thanks! I also collect knives and have owned ones that are worth several thousand dollars. Never owned a high end firearm though so it’s about time to try one out
