    Thoughts on Gibbs?

Using the spay bottle that came with NH seems to do a good job.

Anyone try the aerosol cans from Gibbs? I assume it’s the same formula.

Use the aerosol can version at your own risk. It didn’t go well for me, but Nighthawk and Pat the owner of Gibbs had no explanation for it.

It seems to me that the propellant doesn’t play well with NH’s finish.

Thanks. I’ll stick with spray bottle.

    Anything else recommended besides Gibbs?

I use FP-10 exclusively. It’s 100% safe on all finishes. My guns all run like Swiss watches on it.

I use Gibbs (pump spray) for a final coating on a few guns with black nitride finish. I do not use it as a lubricant. I use Slip2000 EWL on pretty much everything. I recently tried FP-10, and went back to Slip2000.

+1 on not using aerosols. I damaged the finish on a NHC. I use Eezox now.

Ballistol has worked good for me. Seems pretty friendly for grips and pretty much every finish.

How would the Gibbs aerosol be any different than the pump spray from NH? I have never had a problem with it. Looks the same feels the same and smells the same .
