I'm thinking about adding a Mod.19 9MM BBL to my Mod.22. I'm familiar with all the makers except Lone Wolf. Any opinions would be great.

    EDIT: Make that a MOD.17......not 19.

i use a KKM 9mm conversion barrel for my G24, while i never had problems with the .40S&W parts, but I swapped them out for 9mm parts (extractor, ejector and mags) since they are cheap.

Thanks guys. I want to switch between the two calibers and the .40 will be used for HD.

When I had my G22 I had a LWD 9mm conversion and g17 mags. Never missed a beat.

Blayglock, I'd have remove the cheesey logo on the LWD. Maybe a shot of Krylon. LOL! naw...I like the price.

LWD will sell you one without the logo I believe for a few dollars more.

I use Storm Lake barrels in both my 17 and 19, and I really like them. A G17 barrel won't fit right into a G22. The barrel in .40 cal Glocks is larger in diameter than the 9mm barrels, so a barrel for a G17 would be extremely loose.

Yep, that's why a 9mm conversion barrel is needed. The outer diameter of the conversion barrel is the same size as a .40 S&W

True, Quack. However, the original states that he wanted to put a G17 barrel in his G22, so I thought it was relevant to point out that it wouldn't work out right.

I can see where someone might think ALL/ANY G17 would fit. Good point.
