Can anyone recommend a good gunsmith in N. Virginia who they trust to do a quality 1911 trigger job?

I would start with Robb at Virginia Arms in Manassas.

Robb is the only person in Northern Va I would trust with my guns. I heard he is at Elite Shooting Sports now. I’m not sure what kind of work he does on 1911’s but I’d be curious.

I’ve heard of Hatfield’s as well as an option but he is very expensive.

There are a few good choices in the NoVA area. The aforementioned Robb Jensen is top notch (though I know him more for AR15 work). Jim Carroll (formerly of SpecDive) is at C&R Firearms just down the street from Elite Shooting Sports and is known for 1911 work. I believe Everett Oesterling is with Sterling Arsenal now; he performed some trigger work on one of my 1911s a few years back.
