    Good video. That is how Hilton Yam describes the take down procedure on his web-site. Chuck Rogers pointed me to it after he built my Springer. I had the EGW locking bushing and plug set up installed on it. It was nearly impossable to get them to line up properly without using this method.

    Only problem is the part about taking the spring plug out through the rear. Not all 1911s allow this, even modern ones.

    Thanks for the vid, never tried to move the barrel forward and then loosen the bushing.
