...turns out I LOVE this thing. Yes, I know, we are 1911 addicts first....and I am still, no worries there. I've been shooting Glocks for about 15 years now....as a LEO, in competition, and CCW/Off-duty carry. In all that time I've only really shot full size (G22, G17, and G35 in competition) for most of my shooting. I carried a G27 & G26 off-duty and put the obligatory "familiarization" rounds through them so I was comfortable carrying them, but never really put a ton of rounds through them.

Recently I picked up a LNIB G19 Gen 4 for a steal.....I put on Ameriglo "Agent" night sights, polished up the trigger, installed a 3rd gen trigger bar, and was off to the races.

Today I put her through her paces (about 300 rounds)....this thing flat out shoots and is great in my hands. Now I have a new off-duty carry that I can conceal and has some decent capacity....

Here is the target from today....head shots (30 rounds) were at 10 yards at a fast pace....body shots (30 - 35 rounds) were at 18 yards at a fast pace.....shots were a bit left, but turns out it was my support hand thumb (right hand thumb) that was ever so slightly pressing on the frame when I was in a thumbs-forward grip...adjusted my thumb position and was spot on....

Glad I’m not the only one who appreciates a plastic fantastic.

I just picked up an M&P9 cut for an RMR, with a gunsmith fit Apex barrel. It’ll be my next project but the damn gun points so naturally, I’m really digging it.

A couple months ago I also picked up a P10C. I’m pretty damn impressed with it.

Those Ameriglo sights are sweet. I’ve got a similar Spartan set on my G43.

    Good shooting!

Hope you don’t mind me dropping (not a 320) this here. Lol

I know everyone is different. Though I see people say they can't shoot a Glock. I can shoot the hell out of one and just as good as anything else. I believe much of their despair is they don't want to be associated with a polymer gun or they don't have fundamentals in place.

I hear ya RG...I shoot the heck outta Glocks....they actually FEEL good in my hands whereas some 1911's tend to pinch the web of my shooting hand (some...depends on the grip safety and frame contour....my STI Trojan is the most comfortable 1911 in my hands...)....

    I dabbled a bit with Beretta M9's & Sig P226's (issued when I served)....I even shot a few CZ 75B's (I really like these)....but I've tried to keep it at 2 platforms...Glocks & 1911's/2011's.....

I agree with @Raylan Givens Glocks are just as shootable as anything else. It's the "shooter" that needs an excuse. If I wasn't damned to 10 round mags you better believe I'd be carrying one of these with a SCD.

I shoot my 43 well, after a set of Dawson sights, new trigger and a little polishing. Got no problem carrying a plastic fantastic.

Yeah, maybe you guys should find a room. :)

I confess to owning 3 Glocks, and I shoot them well. I have never carried one...

Don’t care for Glocks as they don’t feel good in my hands. Got nothing against plastic fantastic just don’t like them.

I like Sigs and CZ for my non 1911 choice

My Vickers G19 has become one of my favorite guns. Plus I just shoot Glocks well, probably from utilizing them for so many years. Just comes natural.

Yup...def need a "G19 Luvin'" thread! LOL. The nicest thing is that, like others, I've been on the hunt for the "perfect" off-duty concealed carry pistol. I thought my G26 with +2 extensions was it, but I have gorilla hands and it still didn't fit well. My G43 is great, but too tiny for my big hands (although I shoot it pretty well! LOL).

I held off trying a G19 for years, resigned to the fact that my G26 with +2 was close to a G19 and was more concealable...Well, THAT ALL CHANGED! LOL!....THe G19 fits me better than the G26 w/ +2, and I can conceal it just about as well....

So now my primary off-duty piece will be this G19....

I WILL SAY THOUGH....I WILL ALSO BE CARRYING MY DAN WESSON CCO!! Gotta keep the 1911 love going!

Know I'll get hate mail, but the G19 is my EDC. Like the extra rds, since my pants will completely fall down if I carried extra mags. Might have to go back to the Man purse (belly pack).

I have 4 Glock 19s. The balance of this design can't be beat for a concealed carry gun IMHO.

    1 Gen2, 1 Gen3, 2 Gen4s.

I also swap out the triggers with smooth faced G17 triggers, Ameriglo sights, grip plugs and run them hard.

It pains me to say this, but I, too, love my Glock 19. 3rd generation. I knew when I bought it that I hated Glocks, and I would hate it. But year after year and round after round, it wormed it's way into my heart. I tell people I like my Glock 19. I still hate all the others.

That's why i sold my G19 when I needed to free up funds for my EDC X9.
I didn't hate the feel of it...I did suffer from glock finger for the first few range trips.... but ultimately I had no burning love for it, so it was easy to part with.
