So I got my very first 1911 last night. A Baer PII with the 1.5" group option. My glock/Taurus/NAA/S&W will hit the sales rack soon, I don't need them anymore. Will hit the range tomorrow :biggrin1:

There is an old saying about knives that I use with guns. "one is none ,two is one". I would suggest getting use to that sweet new 1911 before you sell anything. Then when are comfortable with it then pick a good back up as you never know if and when it breaks or is sent out for work that you would need another weapon. Just my opinion. Enjoy that gun it is beautiful

Nice first 1911, love the grips! Agree with IraG, no reason to only have one gun.

Looks great! That's a nice one for your first 1911. You even put new shoes on it. :thumb:

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts after shooting it. The Premier II is the flagship of Les' line, and I think you'll appreciate why.

Well yeah, I'll agree that I'd always need more than one. It's just the others don't even compare to this one, so basicly I'd sell the plastic stuff and get another nice 1911.

Thanks everyone, was planning on hitting the range today but the weather is absolutely terrible today. 40 degrees and pouring rain. Tomorrow it's supposed to be 80 degrees and sunny, so we'll see what happens tomorrow.

Grips are from Sarge, I like them alot. The only downside with them is they cover up the perfect checkering on this one. (I've seen alot with imperfections if you look from the side due to being hand done)

Next Baer? I've been drooling on those HW Monoliths, but then I also want something bobtailed. :/ I don't think I would ever bob a HW Monolith, so that means I need at least 2 more. :S

very nice baer! I'm waiting until I graduate to get one. I'm not to sure about the grips though personally I prefer the look of the standard checkered grips from baer but ymmv
