What was the scan for? You don’t have to be specific. Just concerned about you.

DWE, prayers for you my friend. And yes we are selfish; I try to pray for others, and truly God works in ways we don't understand. I hope your results are ok. All the best to you and yours

The CT scan was of my chest and lungs to look for signs of COVID. That was also Negative.

I hesitated to say more due to the
preliminary unverified nature of the findings.
    But here it goes.

The issue is the other stuff that showed up on the scan.
The preliminary indicators point the the possibility of the development of Pulmonary Fibrosis which
would answer questions I’ve had concerning certain
chronic symptoms I’ve had for several years.

Although the findings are not certain and at best a
preliminary unverified diagnosis, the fact is my father,
a Korean War vet, died of Idiopathic Pulmonary fibrosis.
(Idiopathic = being of an Unknown cause).

Although neither of us ever smoked,
there are common factors other than heredity.
The concern over my career in the trades has been
exposure to asbestos in the mid 80’s-early 90’s.

My father also work a second job for years
in the 60’s and 70’s at an auto shop doing
tire repair & break jobs, also a significant source
    of asbestos exposure.

This may be an aggravating factor but if what
I suspect is the diagnosis, the underlying
    factor is more likely hereditary.

More to come, when more is known.

    Sure.
    For Gods Glory!

    God is indeed merciful!

Today I had a pulmonary function test and saw a pulmonary specialist who disagreed with the initial impression of the radiologist who read the CT scan.

    Although Pulmonary Fibrosis hasn’t completely
been ruled out, it is not at the top of the list
    of possible diagnosis’s.
Although more testing will need to be done,
it appears it will follow a path that includes a far
    better outcome than IPF.

Thanks for all the prayers and good thoughts
    from everyone.
    Your kindness is unmatched!

    Kenny

Somehow, I'm just now seeing this thread.

Prayers sent for you. Glad you are getting some more refined reads on that CT scan and some better idea of what you may be dealing with.

As you say....the known is much better to face.....engage it and give a beatdown.

Continued prayers for you...your family and your doctors.
