Howdy,
New to this forum but not to gun, knife, outdoors sites in general. Some may recognize my name from other sites. Been using it close 20 years.
I've always been a 1911 fan and have owned many a 1911 but sad to say don't currently own one.
I'll be soliciting advice on finding a quality (read Dan Wesson level up to entry Wilson Combat) 1911 to be my primary shooter. Looking for a traditional steel 5" Government with preferably a smooth slide without forward serrations. Considering aforementioned Dan Wesson Valor. Springfield Armory TRP and Professional; Les Baer Premier, SRP, Tactical or TR. Wilson CQB?
Would love to hear thoughts or be directed to threads featuring like discussions. Am open to PM's with suggestions as well.
I'm a nearing retirement Fire Captain/Paramedic and enjoy tactical medical discussions as well.-Cycletroll
