So I'm planning on trying some standard grips on my compact springfield that came with Slim's. Is there really no universal tool to remove both types of bushings? I hope to only do this once but once I swap out the slim bushings I'll have two 1911s with standard grips and a slim tool...
Also because my compact has an alloy frame are there any other concerns? Thinking of going with stoner CNC tactical eclipse if anyone has input on those as well.

I had been on there but didn't notice the $74 driver. That may be what I'm looking for? Thanks

If you look through the site, it even gives torque recommendations for various grip materials.

$2.37 at the hardware store? Never thought about it as I have a full set.

Left hand drill bits, available at Harbor Freight, work well for getting anything out of a threaded hole.

I use the standard bushings. And have a removal socket. But always have an EZ-OUT handy! They sometimes strip. EZ-OUT's are always good to have for those "Damn it" moments.
