My GSG 1911 with 7100 rds fired...
Awesome! Glad to finally see one that's seen some adequate use. Mine just sits in the box.
Between this and the Chiappa, which is better/more recommended?
GSG by far, at least every review and opinion I've seen. The Chiappa is just junk.
I own both. The GSG is way more gun for a little more money. The puma/cheapa has no working grip safety and no parts worth mentioning that can be upgraded. The GSG has lots of parts that can be changed out. Weight is closer on GSG. Feel is way better on the GSG. The cheapa is not half the gun. If a special friend of mine hadn't bought me the cheapa it would be gone.
Yep upgrades for mine are grips and flat msh. and LOTS of ammo...
The only upgrade for me left is new sights. What fits the GSG?
I believe 80% of the parts in the lower are "normal" to 1911 specs and can be swapped out. I don't think you can do anything about the slide, barrel, etc. etc. in the top half.
MSH, GS, Hammer, Trigger, Grips, thumb safety, Slide stop, etc...
Just about everything.
Ok what sights fit this thing?
