I have a Kimber Warrior II, and have put approx. 1200 rounds through it. I noticed lately that it seems like my guide rod (Standard length), seems to tight against my barrel (if that makes sense). I have to push it in instead of slide it in. Im assuming this is why it's so hard to rack the slide or do chamber checks. I inspected the guide rod tonight after cleaning the pistol and noticed that the end piece (the part that backs up against the barrel link) seems to be deformed. Its not smooth and seems like it got flatten.

I'm getting a new guide rod but really dont know which way to go. I saw the Wilson Combat one for $5, but is it worth it? or should i go with the more expensive ed brown or colt ($15-16). What do you guys think? Thanx in advance.

Use a black felt pen on suspected areas, and dress it down/away as needed. Sometimes the barrel belly and link can touch the GR. Simple fix, takes 5 min. with files.
