I have wanted a mono built 1911 for a while, but for various reasons a LB has never appealed to me. After recently discovering GI will make a monolithic barrel build I have been reading up on it....what I can anyway. Unfortunately in the course of doing such research I also discovered the BC-17 hellcat which is extremely tempting as well.

I am checking into if you can do a mono barreled BC-17(I doubt it, but I can always ask) because it really appeals to me.

Anyway, any advice one way or the other? I know most mono builds are on no names, but I already have one of those and a HOSS....so decisions decisions....

The BattleCrown is a bushing, so a bull barrel on that setup is a no-go.

If it were me, I would spec out a mono build from a No Name, and get the whole kitchen sink.
