    Good Morning Addicts!

I wanted to use my first post on the forum to share with you a sneak peak I got of the new Guncrafter Industries / CZ offering. Yesterday, I was fortunate enough to visit GI and fondle the new GI / CZ. While I didn't get to shoot, I can tell you that this is an exciting new toy for us who love GI, CZ, or both! The action is as smooth as you would expect from GI and ever expect from a double action. But what really separates this collaboration are its aesthetics. They have put an amazing case coloring finish on this weapon with a hot salt blue slide. I was much more impressed by GI's case coloring than many others I have seen in person. It's hard to describe but I feel like it is more of a fuller and vibrant coloring than I have previously seen.

The other really cool thing about this gun is I would have no reservations using it the way it was intended. The pistol has a clear coating on it that protects the finish. The pistol I saw was used in competition and showed no signs of holster wear. This alone is very impressive because I am often cautious to shoot firearms that look this good. Sorry I don't have any pictures but you can check them our on GI's website or Facebook. I'm sure many of you will be pleasantly surprised with this offering.

    Welcome to the forum.

I have to admit that putting that kind of finish on a “tactical” SP-01 based gun does not look right to me. Hopefully they will post some model 75 pictures soon.

Just having a bit of fun with you. As a big fan of both Guncrafter and CZs I can appreciate any little nugget of new information.

I'm trying to put a picture up, but it keeps saying spam! I am also trying to post a full write up about my visit to GI in 1911 General, but that is saying spam as well.

I put the picture as my profile picture. Didn't spam that!

It looks like they are using Cajun Gun Works internals and parts and then refinishing the gun.

Color Case Hardened Frame with a clear Cerakote application

-Hot Salt Blue Slide with Polished Flats

-A Flush Cut & Crowned Barrel

-DLC Coated Barrel & Small Parts

-The Guncrafter Industries Logo Engraved on the Frame

I keep looking at this and I can't make up my mind, I love the case hardened look but it does seem out of place on that pistol

56AD0573-8B51-4253-AF17-7530E2B0BD06.jpeg Sorry - not crazy about that. CZ is a combat gun, not a foo foo gun. This is what a CZ is supposed to look like.

Funny enough, that "foo foo" gun has 60k+ rounds through it.

Your "combat gun" looks suspiciously clean...

^^^^ Funny. The only qualification of a gun to be a combat gun is that the specific gun has been used in actual combat. Just like restaurants that serve homemade food, it’s not homemade if it was made in a restaurant.

    Happy Easter everyone!

It is clean, I just got it 3 days ago. But if the requirement is actual combat, there are not too many guns that we see on a forum that qualify. Nice bulldogs, BTW.

The "combat designation" only applies to the weapons you have used to defend yourself...
