It seems like they're operating as a sort of brokering service...only releasing funds to the seller once the receiving FFL has confirmed receipt. The mechanics of it interests me.

That said, did online purchases already involve a buyer, seller, and often two FFLs. Potentially also gunbroker. Did we really need another party involved?

More of an escrow service.

I can only imagine that their fees must be less than Gunbrokers fees for processing payments or they wouldn't get much traction.

It definitely gives the buyer a bit more peace of mind and delays payment to the seller a bit. It also protects the seller against reversal of payment, for whatever reasons.
