MechanicsWear used to make pouches that you could slide over and pull off. There were also for transport and they did a great job of keeping the heat in however.

Mechanix makes cheap ones that are on sale frequently. The transport bag is great. The wrap isn't.

 

I bought a few of these some years back on their website, it was basically BOGO free and free shipping. I dont store them in there because it retains the suppressor's heat but I do use them to take off and then let cool before packing back in storage bags

 

 

Good old fashioned welding gloves haven't done me wrong for 20 years.

 

That's what I've used in the past, if I'm in a hurry to unscrew it.

 

Welding gloves work, oven mitt etc.
I will say I had a Silencerco Suppressor Cover melt on to mine. Was not going hog wild on the trigger either.

 

The Mechanix Carbon-X mitten from Amazon is great. Great for checking on suppressor tightness or to make sure I don’t cook the table.
I also picked up one of Armageddon Gear Suppressor Hot Pocket. Great for transporting your hot suppressor after lightening your range bag of all that pesky heavy bullets 😃

 

For handling hot suppressors, I’ve tried using Cole-Tac suppressor cover and it made a big difference. It helps with mirage reduction and it made it easier to handle the suppressor when it was so hot.

 

Which Cole Tac cover are you using? The HTP or the Corset?

 

Use a pot holder. Silencer Shop offers something like it

 

I use a silicone pot holder that Capitol Armory sent as free swag with one of my suppressor orders.

 

At the pace I was shooting today, my Omega 9k made the perfect hand warmer.

 

I use an oven mitt.
